Maid of Honor
From the ashes of Hot Topic emerged one of my best friends. Friends since high-school, fiercely loyal and guaranteed to make you laugh. She’s insanely smart and has probably read more books than anyone we know. Meg is the friend you’re lucky to have and can always count on for advice, a good ’90s rom-com, or support when making an impulsive purchase.

My younger brother and the funniest person I know, Tom has always been one of the most important people in my life. A charmer with a wild glint in his eye, he’s the best dad to the newest Jakab, a loving husband, and still finds time to tear up mountain bike trails, golf courses, and Coors Lights.

The much shorter, but better (and cooler) half of the Pennypacker duo. Childhood besties since kindergarten, Kels is by far the loudest person we know, but also one of the kindest. Rob’s spicy, Sagittarius soul-sister, she’s always up for trying something new. Mama to the first baby in our friend group and the cutest little dude around.

From Ohio (like all the best things), Steve and I met as co-workers at Target but quickly became brothers for life. He was the first friend to meet Kim (the first week we met!). He combines the physique of a Greek god with a heart of gold and an infectious thirst for adventure. Whether we’re sipping cute cocktails or getting dirty in the mountains, we always get in to something memorable.

Christina and I grew up together in Walton Hills and have been friends since kindergarten. She’s the most down-to-earth person we know and our favorite wildlife expert, chicken keeper, and gardener. A multi-award winner at the county fair, she even taps the trees in her yard to make maple syrup. She’s also the only person I know who has rewatched Friends as many times as I have.

One of my oldest friends, TC and I grew up together—from being camp counselors in middle school to visiting Harry Potter World in Osaka as adults. Poetic, thoughtful, and wise, he’s a joy to be around, whether we’re discussing the finer points of cinema or he’s catching up on hot gossip with Kim.

The most caring person to everyone around her and the best sister-in-law we could ever ask for. Nina is hilarious, thoughtful, and an amazing mama to sweet little Remy. We’re so lucky to have her in our lives—there’s truly no one better to help keep Tom in check, and for that, we are forever grateful.

One of the OGs, Tony is like family, and we see him on a weekly basis. Dashing, stylish, and a connoisseur of all things cool, he can seamlessly transition from a death metal mosh pit to giving Chloe forehead kisses and giving the best hugs around.

Greg knows more about baseball and presidential buttons than anyone reasonably should. The most sentimental person we know, he’s known Kim since high school and has been there for us as we’ve grown as a couple. He’s also the first to happily dive into any debate and make you question why you started one with him in the first place.
